Travelers Rest Baptist Church and Travelers Rest Ministries Inc. is a 501c3 community of believers in Vicksburg, MS.  who engage the whole person with the whole gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime, with anybody. We especially respond to the call to serve humanity through many outreach ministries and partnerships. Under the leadership of its senior pastor, Thomas E. Bernard for the past 29 years, Traveler Rest Ministries has served on the front line of ministering to the needs of countless families throughout the state of Mississippi and the world.

Learn, Grow, and Serve

We are more than a Morning Worship Service, more than Sunday School or Discipleship Training, more than Missions Ministry or Brotherhood, more than Music Ministry, and more than Youth Outreach.  We just use all these means, and many more, to express our faith.  By doing all of these things for the Lord, we are continuing to Learn and Serve.

The Youth Garden Project here at Travelers Rest Baptist Church provides many educational opportunities for the youth at the pre-school, elementary, middle, and high school level throughout Warren Co. The purpose of the youth gardening program is to introduce gardening, conservation, protection of wildlife, recognition of plants, trees and shrubs, basic flower arrangements, and a love and appreciation of nature.

The goal is that they will be future citizens who will be responsible and capable with greater self-expression, dignity, integrity, and knowledge of their environment.
